Prof. Yoav Nahum

Professor Yoav Nahum is the Deputy Director of the Ophthalmology Department, Director of the Ocular Surface Service and Senior Physician in the Cornea Unit, Beilinson Hospital Rabin Medical Center, and a surgeon at the Assuta Optic Laser Eyeglass Removal Institute. Prof. Michael Mimouni

Professor Michael Mimouni, director of the cornea unit in the ophthalmology department at Rambam Medical College and a senior clinical lecturer at the Technion, graduated from Tel Aviv University with honors. In 2022, Professor Mimouni was elected to be chairman of the corneal department on behalf of the Israeli Ophthalmologists' Association. So far, Professor Mimouni has published over 180 original studies in the professional literature and serves as an editor and reviewer for dozens of scientific journals in the fields of corneal transplants, cataract surgery, dry eye and laser eyeglass removal. For his research work, Professor Mimouni won several national and international awards and scholarships. Professor Mimouni presents and actively participates in international conferences and works as an invited lecturer in the fields of his profession and as a participant in teaching students and interns in ophthalmology in Israel and around the world.

Dr. Yael Sharon

Dr. Yael Sharon is a senior physician at the Rabin Medical Center where she is a cataract surgeon and performs laser treatments and intraocular injections. Dr. Sharon specializes in diseases of the surface of the eye and inflammatory eye diseases (uveitis) and serves as a lecturer in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine of Tel Aviv University. Dr. Sharon is a graduate of Tel Aviv University's medical studies and her professional training continued with an internship at the Medical Center Shiba and specialization in ophthalmology at the Rabin Medical Center.

During the internship, she went to conduct research in the field of immunology at Princeton University in the USA, after which she integrated a unique clinical experience in the field of rheumatology at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. As part of her academic activity, Dr. Sharon wrote and published scientific studies in leading newspapers in the field of ophthalmology. She leads and participates in clinical studies in Israel and international studies in the field of uveitis diseases of all types, with an emphasis on diagnosis and treatment of uveitis complications, clinical characterization of uveitis diseases, innovative treatments, advanced imaging methods, research into genetic characteristics of various inflammatory diseases as well as scarring diseases of the surface of the eye.
